They charged Rs 7000 for a day, including a one-night stay in Delhi. For a couple, an AC sedan car is sufficient for traveling. Later we drive towards Agra in a comfortable car. Complete the 240km distance in 4 hours on Yamuna Expressway. Upon arrival in Agra, the journey starts right away with a visit to The Taj Mahal Tour.

When you get to Agra, you’ll be in a busy city full of history. To go to the Taj Mahal, which is about 10 kilometers (6.2 miles) away, you can take a taxi or a ride-sharing service from Agra Cantt.

I think our taxi driver gets money from taking people to certain restaurants. He took us to a Good restaurant where we spent 600 Rupees on food. Luckily, it was delicious.
After lunch, we went fast to Agra Fort to take photos. I had to go soon because I had a sleeper train to catch

Mehtab Bagh is this beautiful garden right next to the Yamuna River in Agra. It’s made in a special style called charbagh, which means it has four corners. This style was really liked by the old Mughal Kings and Islamic Empires. They made gardens like this because they thought it was like the paradise gardens talked about in their holy book, the Qur’an.
So, Mehtab Bagh was set up in four parts, filled with lots of ponds, pools, flowers, and fruit trees. It must have smelled amazing! The garden is pretty big, about 300 x 300 meters, and it lines up just right with the Taj Mahal across the river.
It was first built way back in the late 1500s. Most of what we see now isn’t the original but a rebuilt version of what those Mughal Emperors once made.
Itimad-ud-Daulah’s Tomb:
The Tomb of I’timād-ud-Daulah is really famous for its detailed and fancy design. It’s like a preview of how grand the Taj Mahal is. They built it between 1622 and 1628 to remember Mirza Ghiyas Beg, this Persian big shot, and his wife, Asmat Begum. The tomb is amazing, with white marble and these shiny, semi-precious stones. just a quick drive from downtown Agra, in a place called Sikandra, you’ll find this huge tomb of Akbar the Great. Akbar was a big deal among the Mughal emperors, and his tomb really shows how important he was.
The tomb is massive and sits in this beautiful garden, kind of like the ones Mughals loved. The design is a cool mix of Hindu, Islamic, and Persian styles, which really shows how Akbar liked to include everyone. You’ve got to see the carvings and designs on the white marble; they’re amazing. If you’re taking a break from Delhi for the weekend, this is a great spot to visit for a day.
There’s also the tomb of Mariam-uz-Zamani, who was Akbar’s wife. Walking around the mausoleum and the gardens is so peaceful.
