Why Maybelline India Fit Me Matte Poreless Pressed Powder
Right off the bat, I want to say…I love the Maybelline Fit Me range. The shade range is extensive, at least for a drugstore brand. The products perform as well as any high-end product. The price range is accessible for a broad range of customers. And the products are readily available both locally and online.
With all these virtues, the brand still values customer’s reviews and continuously puts out better products for its customer. The well-loved and raved about Maybelline India Fit Me Matte Poreless Pressed Powder is no different. I have been using it for quite some time, so I think I am eligible enough to give an honest review of its performance.
It’s my second time repurchasing it, and I have already hit pan on it. So if you are on the fence, whether you should buy it or not, keep reading to know how it can benefit you. I use the shade True Beige 222.
My Skin
I have an oily acne-prone and very sensitive Skin. If some product has something fishy in it, my Skin will immediately let me know by reacting most violently possible AKA breakouts everywhere. So I am always on the hunt to get products that are mattifying and non- comedogenic. And when I find them, I hoard them for life.
The cost and shelf life
The price of the Maybelline Fit Me Matte Poreless Pressed Powder was Rs 480 when I bought it. The self-life is for two years. Check the current price here.

Fit Me® Matte + Poreless Powder face makeup. Mattifies and leaves a poreless-looking finish with long-lasting shine control.
BENEFITS
Ideal for normal to oily skin, this long-lasting powder leaves a natural, poreless-looking finish with long-lasting shine control. -Maybelline India
HOW TO USE/APPLY
Using the included applicator, apply to the forehead, nose, cheeks, and chin and blend all over using gentle downward strokes. Can be worn alone or on top of foundation.
Packaging by Maybelline India
The packaging is very compact which makes it travel friendly and easy to use. The only downside is that there is no mirror. The one I got didn’t even have a sponge applicator so I have to use another sponge or brush to use it. The packaging is in a black and sturdy plastic container. The lid has a small space to see the product inside.
It is actually quite convenient in case you are buying it in a store you don’t have to open the lid and check the shade you can just see through the lid. The plastic enclosing closes very tightly and I have never had any issues of it opening randomly. It has fallen from my hands several times and there is no sign of the product being broken or damaged.
Texture and Fragrance
The texture of the powder is very finely milled. There isn’t any significant kickback or fly away when the brush hits the pan. The product is pressed appropriately so that the applicator only pickups the right amount of product. There is no specific fragrance to the powder, but it’s not fragrance-free. The smell is present, but nothing disturbing.
The best thing about this Maybelline India powder is that there is reflecting properties in the powder due to which it doesn’t give a powdery look to the face. Although it says it’s mattifying yet, on the application, it provides a natural glow to the skin. It can easily be used for under eye highlight as it doesn’t deposit between fine lines and gives a smoothening appearance to any liquid or cream product underneath.
Shade range
Maybelline India Fit Me Matte Poreless Pressed Powder is available in 24 super-saturated shades, including a translucent shade. The only issue that I have with the shade range is that not all shades are readily available unless you are ordering it online. I have got the shade Natural Beige 220, which suits my fair Skin with yellow undertones quite well.
Application
I have used this product on it’s on and over other complexion products. As you can see from the pictures how well-loved and used it has been. The lightweight formula doesn’t look cakey on my Skin. It sets the foundation and doesn’t interfere with the texture of any base products underneath.
I use a big fluffy powder brush to put my makeup, and sometimes I use it with a sponge. On its own, it doesn’t give any significant coverage, nor does it claim to provide any, but it makes the skin look radiant. If you are someone who loves minimal makeup or just someone who is low maintenance, then you will like this powder.
Longevity
As I have super oily skin, and I don’t want my Skin to look like a grease ball at the need of the day, a mattifying powder is a must for me. But I must admit Maybelline Fit Me Matte Poreless Pressed Powder is not long-lasting enough on my oily skin. It layers beautifully so you can use it to touch up every few hours. The powder will give you a sort of mattifying effect initially on the application, but eventually, within two hours, at least I have to do a touch-up.
Pros of Maybelline India Fit Me Matte Poreless Pressed Powder
- It’s lightweight and not- a cakey formula
- The shade range is extensive
- Blends well and doesn’t look patchy
- The packaging is sturdy by Maybelline India
- Affordable and easily available
Cons of Maybelline India Fit Me Matte Poreless Pressed Powder
- Some shades are not available easily
- Not true to its long-lasting mattifying claim
- No mirror
Final thoughts
This product did not break me out, so that’s the significant thumbs up for me. Although it’s not that mattifying, I still think it would work well on dry and normal skin beauties. It’s a good everyday powder, but do not expect it to hide any imperfection as the pigmentation is significantly less. It’s very cheap and readily available. It does its job well so I think you should give it a try.
