The Maybelline Fit Me Matte Poreless Foundation did cost me Rs 549 originally for 1 Fl.Oz. (Check updated price here) . But you can easily get it for far cheaper from Amazon, Walmart or Ulta.
They have also recently launched the product in a smaller, travel-friendly size. It is available in  tube format at some places as well which is less in quantity and cheaper too.
It is also readily available in local stores and Maybelline website and counters. However, for discounted prices, online shopping is better. The shelf life of the product is 30 months.

I got the shade Sun Beige 310. The foundation comes in a standard rectangular clear glass bottle. The black cap is screwable and secures the bottle tightly. The bottle is not bulky, but as it is made up of glass, it isn’t that travel friendly. For people who are always on the go, the tube would be a better choice. If you are someone who uses multiple foundations, then the bottle has its shade name written on the top of its cap. It makes it so much easier to find the shade from the clutter. I have seen some of the new bottles online are coming out with a pump. But the bottle that I got came without a dispenser. So every time to use it, I have to pour some on the back of my hand before application. It leads to a lot of product wastage and not to mention inconvenience and mess.

It has a very faint “paint” like fragrance for me. But it goes away as soon as applied. The texture is neither too thick nor too runny. It’s the perfect texture to spread over the skin evenly. It doesn’t dry out quickly, so you get time to blend it seamlessly.

Maybelline is one of the most popular, affordable, and better quality makeup ranges in the market. Initially, when they launched, the foundation was available only a few shades. Now you can easily get up to 40 shades across various online shopping portals. They just don’t offer variety in skin tones but undertones as well. So chances are you can find a shade that is almost similar to your natural skin color. The shade range available is more than what other brands, even the high-end let alone drug-store, are currently offering in the market. Especially people with dusky skin tone can get their hands on their shade from this foundation range.

I take a small amount of foundation on the back of my hand and apply it in dots across my face. I tried blending it with fingers, damp beauty sponge, and buffing brush on different occasions. I find that it works with all the techniques mentioned above but better with a damp beauty sponge. As the product gives a matte finish, a damp beauty sponge gives it more blendable quality and dewiness. However, for maximum coverage, using a brush is ideal. The foundation provides medium coverage but can be layered without any issues to gain better coverage.

I have oily, acne-prone sensitive skin. I have open pores, acne scars, and some pigmentation on my skin. So I was looking forward to trying this foundation, which supposedly could have been my ideal foundation. And it didn’t disappoint to some extent. I have used this foundation with a primer as I have open pores and oily skin. This lasted longer on my skin then. I have also used it on my dry face without anything under it, and I find it worked well too. However, the matte formula will adhere to the dry patches if the skin is not prepped or moisturized well beforehand.

The foundation lasts on my skin without any powdering or touch-ups for a good 6- 7 hours. After which it starts to fade away from around the t- zone. But it’s just my skin. It may work differently for you. True to its claims, it gave a smooth and matte finish. It moderately blurred the appearance of open pores and didn’t clog them. The biggest takeaway was that it didn’t break me out after I removed it at the need of the day. This was what sold me on this foundation. Its very lightweight on the skin and doesn’t feel cakey. I have very oily skin, so I needed to set it with powder, but for someone with combination or normal skin, they could easily get away without powders.

This foundation is perfect for people with my skin type. But I don’t think it would work well on people with very dry skin as its extremely mattifying. Unfortunately, I got the wrong shade, which was a bit darker for my skin tone. It’s one of the biggest disadvantages of ordering complexion products online.  However, I made it work by using a light, compact powder. Try to find the right shade for your skin tone to enjoy the product thoroughly. I advise you to go to a store first and try the shades personally to choose which shade suits you the best and then order online. I don’t mind the medium coverage as I like a bit of real skin showing through my makeup to give it a natural and effortless look. I would highly recommend this foundation.
